Longer-term strategies are developed in parallel of Action Plans comprising of actual projects being delivered on the ground from the early phases of a regeneration plan.

Heritage assets are brought back to life in the conviction that traditional form of urbanism can adapt to contemporary life to ensure old city centres and heritage trails can remain important cores for the cities of tomorrow.

Schools, Cultural Hubs and other social infrastructure are to be established as centres of urban life around which to encourage the formation of thriving mixed-use communities.
